Database adapters for both in-process and remote IBM Cloudscape database drivers.

Adapter Overview:

Plug-in adapter, instantiating the org.opmath.util.db interfaces. The adapter classes in this package subclass the appropriate org.opmath.util.db classes allowing access to the IBM Cloudscape version 3.6 database drivers.

This component requires:

• The OpMath Utilities 1.0 (or greater) component.
• The IBM Cloudscape Java database. This is available with a developer license via free download as part of the Sun J2EE reference implementation J2SDKEE 1.3.1. You may also need the following patch from IBM.
• The Java 2 Standard Edition J2SE 1.3 (or greater).

Do's and Don'ts:

• Don't address the API of this package directly.
• Do use the org.opmath.util.db.DBObject.newDbConnection(String, String) or org.opmath.util.db.DBRemoteObject.newDbConnection(String, String, String) factory methods to construct instances of these adapters.
• Do include this package in the javac and runtime classpath, or container library, along with the appropriate Cloudscape libraries.
