Mail Client Lite Component

Outline

The OpMath Mailclient Lite component serves as a simple email client that can be accessed via a servlet, or incorporated into any networked Java application via a very simple API. The mail client supports sending text email messages, together with binary or text MIME attachments of any type. The OpMath Mail Client component is offered as a more scalable, though more complex alternative.

Version 1.0 of the mail component only allows for sending email messages, using a named SMTP server. Reception of messages is not currently supported.

A complete production version is available now.

The current version of this component is 1.0. There are no other versions available.

Dependencies

Open Math Utilities 1.0 (or greater).

Apache Jakarta Tomcat 4.1.29 (or greater), or equivalent application server supporting the Java Servlet 2.3 specification.

JavaBeans Activation Framework JAF 1.0 (or greater).

Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition J2SE 1.4.

License

The Mail Cleint Lite Component is made available according to the GNU Lesser General Public License. This allows for the incorporation of the Open Math Mail Client package into proprietary third-party software.
